They include 124 commercial shop offices at Taman Universiti Business Centre next to Jaya Jusco Stores, ''Nusa Indah'', a freehold mixed development consisting mainly of terrace houses and shop offices in the Nusajaya Township and 13 low medium-cost shops at Taman Universiti.

Country View executive chairman Datuk Mohamed Al Amin Abdul Majid said the spread of the company's development projects in various locations would attract favourable demand as seen through the take-up rates in Taman Universiti and Nusa Bestari Jaya.

He believed that the demand for affordable and quality housing would always remain strong. Consumer spending in the country had also been boosted by the government's support through pump-priming packages, relaxation of both monetary and fiscal policies, coupled with relaxation for withdrawals from the Employees Provident Fund, innovative home mortgage schemes and easy loan approval process by financial institutions.

These measures had continued to assist the housing industry, he said.

Al Amin said Country View performed in line expectations for the year ended Nov 30, 2002 by reporting a pre-tax profit of RM22.8mil, an increase of 11% over 2001.

It registered an after-tax profit of RM16.842mil, exceeding the group's forecast of RM16.035 mil
