| LBS Bina Group Bhd expects revenue of RM50mil from the 2,700 units residential properties worth RM250mil put up for sale at the LBS Property Fair 2003 held in Petaling Jaya. Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting officiated at the event, which started on Wednesday. The units up for sale include those in three newly-launched projects - Taman Pinggiran Putra and Bandar Saujana Putra in the Klang Valley and Bandar Putera Indah in Batu Pahat, Johor - according to LBS Bina managing director Datuk Lim Hock San. He said the company expected good response for the low medium-cost apartments in Bandar Saujana Putra, located south of Putra Heights, and priced from RM59,900. Lim said the single-storey semi-detached houses in Bandar Putra Indah, priced from RM139,900 to RM211,864, were also doing well, with 10 houses sold yesterday. He said the group's main focus this year was on low- and low medium-cost housing projects of good quality, complete with amenities, at prime locations. ''LBS has shown a good track record in completing its projects with the delivery of about 2,700 housing units in 2002,'' he said. At the 12-day fair, organised as a convenient one-stop centre for potential house buyers, purchasers have access to the services of five participating banks, offering consultations on loans as well as free legal advice on selected properties. Purchasers who buy properties during the fair also stand a chance to win electrical prizes and receive free gifts. At the launch, winners of the LBS RM1mil contest 2002 were drawn.
