| Danaharta receives winning bids for 53 properties [ 27/12/2002 ] |
PENGURUSAN Danaharta Nasional Bhd has received successful bids for 53 of the 93 newly foreclosed properties offered for sale in its seventh property tender which concluded on November 13 2002.
The 53 properties will be sold for RM118.5 million, representing an average surplus of 4 per cent over their total indicative value of RM113.8 million.
The seventh nationwide tender from October 14 to November 15 saw a total 178 properties valued at RM623.5 million being offered.
In a statement, Danaharta said originally 182 properties worth RM646.2 million were as offered and they comprised of 95 newly foreclosed properties and 87 unsold from the previous tenders, but four were withdrawn from the sale.
The four are two newly foreclosed and two unsold properties from the previous tenders.
Danaharta senior general manager Johan Ariffin said successful bids were received for all types of properties.
“Agricultural and development land contributed about 58 per cent in terms of value of successful bids, with bids that are on average almost 10 per cent higher than their indicative values,” he said.
This, he said, shows that buyers agree with Danaharta’s indicative value for the properties and it reflects the current market prices.
“In fact, successful bids on development land came in 13 per cent higher than the indicative value and 10 per cent higher on residential properties,” he added.
As for the unsold properties, Johan said Danaharta will continue to market them via private treaty negotiations or in the coming tenders next year.
For the seventh property tender, Danaharta offered 39 development land, 14 agricultural land, 63 industrial, 31 commercial property, 20 residential units, 10 retail and one office lot.
Danaharta has offered 886 properties worth RM2.09 billion as at December 20 to the market via primary and secondary sales. It has successfully sold 744 or 84 per cent of these properties for RM1.36 billion.
