RK Group plans to buy more land [ 3/1/2005 ]

PETALING JAYA: RK Group Consolidated Sdn Bhd, which is developing The Axis Residences in Pandan Indah, wants to be a premier boutique developer with annual sales of at least RM100mil over the next few years.

According to RK Group managing director Roslan Khalid, the company’s aim is to innovate and build affordably-priced lifestyle communities for the people.

To make a bigger foray in property development, it is looking to expand its landbank by acquiring plots of between 10 acres and 40 acres in the Klang Valley, especially Pandan, Ampang and Cheras.

''RK Group is focusing on the 25-45 age group, who are looking to fulfil their investment and first home needs. Our forte is building affordably-priced lifestyle houses. RK Group is set on offering not just a place to call home, but a lifestyle,'' Roslan told StarBiz in an interview. RK Group, which is founded by architect-turned-developer Roslan, believes in building houses based on architectural visions that integrate functionality and aesthetics.

''Our mission is to offer innovative yet practical property products and services that exceed customers’ expectations,'' he added.

Encouraged by the RM60mil sales recorded from phase one of Axis Residences since the project’s launch in September last year, it had recently acquired the adjacent 1.78 acres to undertake phase two.

Phase one, on 2.02 acres, comprises 384 apartments, 151 small office home office (Soho) units and 85 two-storey courtyard shops for a gross development value of RM105mil. The apartments, with built-up of 739 to 1,023 sq ft, are priced from RM118,450 to RM232,780, while the Soho units (530 to 681 sq ft) are from RM98,800 to RM121,800.

Phase two, scheduled for launch in May, would comprise another 390 apartments worth RM100mil.

Among the facilities are twin-rooftop sky lounges with function rooms that have a panoramic view of the Kuala Lumpur skyline.

Construction of the project will commence early this year and completion scheduled for 2009.

Roslan is keen to take on more challenging projects that would bring out his creative talent.

''The property market has room for more well-planned projects that offer buyers unique lifestyle experience.
