MAGNA Prima Bhd, a property developer and construction company, expects to generate RM600mil in revenue from its major project, Metro Prima, which is likely to be completed by the end of 2005, executive chairman Datuk Abdul Gani Yusof, said.

The project sits on 35ha along 11.2km of Jalan Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. It comprises low and medium-cost apartments, shop offices and a shopping complex.

''This project, which is undertaken by our subsidiary, Magna Park Sdn Bhd, is 60% completed,'' Gani said after the company's AGM in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Gani said the KLSE second board listed group expected its turnover to double this year.

''The group is also looking at forming a joint venture for the development of terrace houses in Seremban,'' he said.

The group's current projects include a subcontract job valued at RM82mil for the construction of a new hospital in Alor Star, Kedah and an earthwork job in Puncak Alam, Shah Alam.

For the year ended Dec 31, 2002, Magna Prima posted a turnover of RM135mil, up 18% from RM114mil in 2001.
