| SPPK to launch six phases in Alam Damai [ 11/10/2002 ] |
SYARIKAT Perumahan Pegawai Kerajaan Sdn Bhd (SPPK) will launch six new phases comprising 500 double-storey terraced and semi-detached houses in its RM1bil Alam Damai township project in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, next year.
The entire project is well on track, with 40% of it already completed and all residential properties expected to be completed by 2006, according to managing director Jamaludin Osman.
He said the company had received good response from buyers to all phases of the project since its launch in 1998.
“We have enjoyed 100% sales for all past phases, while our latest launch of double-storey terraced units (22ft x 75ft and 26ft x 75ft) in July has registered a 60% sales rate,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Alam Damai is a 638-acre mixed township consisting of over 4,500 units of residential properties such as condominiums, apartments, bungalows, and double-storey terraced and semi-detached houses.
The project will also have a 45-acre commercial centre and the company has spent close to RM20mil on landscaping the township.
Since the maiden launch in 1998, SPPK has launched 13 of the 25 residential property phases planned in Alam Damai.
To date, the company has received some RM300mil in revenue from the development of the Alam Damai township.
Alam Damai is accessible through several highways and is 10km from Kuala Lumpur.
Among the main highways linking Alam Damai to Kuala Lumpur are the Cheras-Kajang Expressway, the Connaught Highway and the Middle Ring Road Two.
SPPK is owned by Permodalan Nasional Bhd and the Minister of Finance Inc.
